I'm so excited to start training for the Las Vegas Marathon! This is my first marathon in 4 years. My husband and I always go to Las Vegas during the summer, but since my new daughter is only 4 months old, I didn't want to go so soon. I wanted to still go this year (sort of tradition), and while searching the web for dates to go, fell across the marathon site. I was out of my mind with enthusiasm when I saw that the marathon is December 7, 2008 at 6:00 am!!! That means I get to train for a marathon while losing all this baby weight. Even though I only gained 40 lbs, I felt as big as a mamma bear. How is that when we know we don't have to diet, we just eat everything in site? I swear, I was a chocolate shake eating fool. Yummy, yummy!! Especially from Whataburger!!! Their shake are too die for!!! Anyway, I've attached a beautiful picture of my new baby girl, Brandi! She is just adorable and is worth all of this hard work!!!!! I'm so happy to have a girl and a boy now. My son is 12 years old and in my eyes, there is nothing better!!! I really never thought I could love someone so much, until I had Kodie. Then I had a baby girl, and realized I could love another special someone just as much as Kodie. I've attached a picture so you can see both of my beautiful children.

www.allaboutthepretty.net
My girlfriend has a new website: www.allaboutthepretty.net! You have to check this out. It's fabulous!!!!! I absolutely love anything that has to do with fashion and shoes! I love shoes. There are so many blogs and websites attached to this one that I could spend hours on it and never get bored. While I was browsing this site, I fell apon the blog: Beauty Blogging Junkie. She's funny and has some interesting things to talk about (things our husbands and office mates don't always want to hear about).

Crossfit
Crossfit!
Have you ever tried these workouts? They are very intense! I love it because they are out of the ordinary and they really push you to your limits. They incorporate kettle bells, weights, olympic style lifting, running, lunges, pull-ups, push-ups, etc. You definitely won't get bored with these workouts, as you do something completely different every day! I fell across the website when I was browsing the internet. It was definitely a blessing in disguise. I've been loosely following these workouts twice a week, on top of my running. I feel stronger and my running is getting a lot better. I'm going to continue to do these workouts throughout my Las Vegas Marathon training program. I think one of the things that I like best about these workouts is the fact that you can do them in such a short time and feel like you just worked out for a hours. Having a new baby, it defintely helps to keep your workouts short and intense. Here is the website so you can check it out for yourself. Definitely worth browsing. http://www.crossfit.com/

Question of Life
Have you ever wondered why people are so jealous of other people? Why is it, when people are doing good, people want to question everything you do? If you are doing bad and your luck isn't going so well, then things are just hunky dory? Ever noticed that? I struggle with this issue on a daily basis. This is one of those things in life that I will never understand. I know that we are supposed to always think positive thoughts but I find it hard to sometimes. I guess the old saying is true, you can't please everyone all of the time.
