Weekend Update

There is no getting around the fact that our abs are made in the kitchen. If you aren't eating a clean diet, then you won't see your abs. Bottom line! You can do all the crunches and sit-ups you want but if that diet is not clean...no abs. Your abs will be covered in layers of fat. Since March is National Nutritional Month, use this month to start cleaning up your diet. What do you have lose...a good hard six-pack?!?
I have been eating at least 1-2 pieces of fruit a day, as well as drinking nothing but water.
There really aren't any good excuses as to why we aren't eating clean. I know that we are all busy and don't have time to cook every day/night ... well so many resturants have a healthy menu to choose from, you can still go out to eat and eat healthy.
So let's find a way to improve our eating this month. Even if it's only one small change, that's still a change in the right direction.
Saturday's WOD:
Warm-Up-Run 200m
Run - 5 minutes
Push-Ups - 4 minutes
Sit-Ups (real sit-ups) - 3 minutes
Burpees - 2 minutes
Wall Squats - 1 minute
Walk - 200m
Run - 4 minutes
Push-Ups - 3 minutes
Sit-Ups (real sit-ups) - 2 minutes
Burpees - 1 minute
Wall Squats - 1 minute (no the time did not change on this one)
Walk 1/2 mile to cool down
Saturdays workout was a good one. The ladies are always a join to talk to. Plus the more people working out together to more fun the workouts seem to be.
Sunday was an active rest day. I walked through the neighborhood twice with my husband and daughter. The weather was so beautiful that I just couldn't pass it up.
How was your weekend? Did you get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather?
What have you been doing for National Nutritional Month?

  1. I love those little inspirational quotes! I have not seen those ones before but SO, SO true!! I did not know that March was National Nutrition Month either. I am one of those people who does the ab work and a lot of cardio but my eating is not the greatest. I am not awful but I know there is room for improvement- especially in the portion control section... Great post!!
